Star Wars Day

The Force will be strong with the Library on May the Fourth!

We will again celebrate the creativity and imagination of Star Wars with programs for kids and families!

Times and events are subject to change! 

The activities begin on Star Wars Day Eve – May 3rd:

  • Jedi Dinner for a Donation: Hoth Dogs, Bobba Baked Beans, and more (4:45-6:30 pm)
  • A free showing of The Last Jedi in the Children’s Library at 5:30 pm
    • Run-time: 2.5 hours (+ 10 minute intermission), 5:30-8:15 pm
    • PG-13 (Sci-Fi violence)
    • Limited seating; semi-dark lighting
    • Be aware that the library itself will close at 8 pm. You can leave at anytime, but we cannot unlock the door to let anyone back in after 7:55 pm)

Concurrent Events on 1st Floor (5:00-7:00 pm)

  • Games: Star Wars Twister, Trivia, and more
  • Activities: Make-Your-Own-Lightsaber, Yoda Ears, and more
  • Costumes welcome!
  • Photo Ops with Character Cut-outs and Inflatables
May the Fourth Day

  • Star Wars Storytime at 10:00 am
  • Jedi Padawan Academy Training at 11:00 am
  • Jedi Knight Academy – 3:00-5:00 pm
    • Games: Star Wars Twister, Trivia, and more
    • Activities: Make-Your-Own-Lightsaber, Yoda Ears, and more
    • Photo Ops with Character Cut-outs and Inflatables
  • Grand Finale begins at 4:30
    • Costume Parade
    • Lightsaber Battle
