Dan Washburn Discusses His New Book, "The Forbidden Game"
In China, golf is a forbidden game, but as China's wealth grows, so does interest in playing the game as a status symbol. The book charts China's economic and political fortunes through the lives of three men intimately involved in the country's surreal golf scene. Bloomsburg native Dan Washburn will be here to discuss his book and autograph copies on Thursday, July 24th, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Library.
MOOSE EXCHANGE ARTISTS SHOW AT LIBRARYThe Library and Art Resources Transfer's Distribution to Underserved Communities Library Program present works from the Moose Exchange, July 15th through August 29th, with reception August 7th, 6:30-8:30 PM.
This is a wonderful opportunity to see a selection of pieces by some of the artists who had been showing at the Moose Exchange before their devastating fire in January. Drop by anytime during Library hours and tour the exhibit on the first-floor walls.

PRESCHOOL FUN WITH READ-TO-ME CLUBEvery Wednesday from June 18th through August 13th, good listeners age three to five will be treated to half an hour of stories with a variety of talented readers, followed by a project to color or a puzzle to solve. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Visitors welcome!
