DR. STEVE RETURNS, WITH THE RUTH M. LARCOM LECTURE!

Bloomsburg's favorite archaeologist, Dr. Stephen R. Phillips, of the Egyptology section of the University of Pennsylvania Museum, is back with more news from the ancient world. "Pass the Garum!" takes us on a culinary adventure through the cultures of the ancient Mediterranean on Friday, October 24th. Did the famous Mediterranean Diet start here, or would moderns turn up their noses? And what's "garum" anyway?
The lecture is sponsored in honor of Ruth Larcom, the outgoing president of the library's Board of Directors. It begins at 6:30 PM, after library hours.
To help with costs for upcoming programs, a commemorative mug featuring the image above will be available for order at $20 prepaid.
